Parting Words

     I am a free woman, readers. On November 8, 1918, I was freed from prison (fist pump) and so was Karl Liebknecht, reunited again!. As you may know, we started to reorganize the Spartacus League and founded the Red Flag newspaper, which asked for the abolition of capital punishment. Both of us were part of a joint congress of the Spartacus League, independent Socialists, and the International Communists of Germany. Eventually our Spartacus League was renamed the Communist Party of Germany on January 1, 1919. In addition, I also founded the Weimar Republic. I ask myself everyday.. why am I so amazing? Rhetorical question, my readers!

     Around the same time this month, I realized that my fellow members of the Communist Party of Germany only wanted the Spartacus uprising as a means to seize power. I was devastated.. that was not what I was aiming for at all. The uprising failed.. and so did my hopes. I was so embarrassed, but to add onto this disappointment, the Socail Democratic leader Friedrich Edbert ordered his men to destroy the revolution. It was the single most infurating thing ever. Anyways, Karl and I were arrested (AGAIN!!!!) on January 15, 1919. Captain Wldemar Pabst and Harst von Pflugk-Hartung from Garde-Kavallerie-Schützendivision (a Social Democrat party), questioned us and gave out the order for his men to execute us! That foolish man, I vow to haunt him for the rest of his life!! Now, fellow readers. I am sitting in this cold room, anxiously awaiting my fate. I will cherish all I have done and I hope you guys will remember me! This may be my last time posting anything up here. I do not regret anything, and forever and ever.. Communism shall prevail !!! Peace out everybody! My time is up!

Inspired

     Cold, dark and lonely… I remember those feelings as I was arrested in Warsaw, 1906. Sorry readers. That was just a random fact about me.. But ironically, here I am. In prison. Again. In August of 1916, my boy K. Lieb (Karl Liebknecht), Clara Zetkin, and Franz Mehring, founded the Spartacus League and we thought it be a neat idea of we published illegal, anti-war pamphlets which were pseudonymously signed as “Spartacus”. (All this secret stuff we did gave me such an adrenaline rush. It was awesome). Anyways, we rejected the SPD’s supposrt for the war… and that’s what got me arrested.

     It’s World War I right now, and here I am, stuck in prison for the bulk of it (big sigh), and I don’t get to participate much in it. Anyways, as I am stuck here, and I am working on my Spartakusbriefe and Die Russisce Revolution, and it will talk about how the October Revolution forgoes a world revolution. I must admit… I can really concentrate while I’m locked up! I am also going to start writing The Junius Pamphlet under my pseudonym Junius (fellow readers, don’t rat me out on this one!) Once I get out of this wretched place, I vow to start some kind of uprising in Berlin….hmm… I’ll probably call it the Spartacist uprising. Yes! It is determined! No longer will I sit back and watch what unfolds, I will act upon it! I, Rosa Luxemburg am determined to make my mark on history and convince the public that the government is all wrong. Once again, Rosa Luxemburg shall conquer all!

     Wow, it’s bad enough to disagree with one popular man (Eduard Bernstein)… but to disagree with two?! Insanity! I can’t help myself though! As many of you may know, many of my hopes were NOT granted… for example, the Revisionist ended up staying in the SPD, to my dismay….and embarrassment. But in 1904, I just had to disagree with the theories of Lenin. I published Organizational Questions of the Russian Democracy in which I argued that Lenin’s thesis is that the party Central Committee should have the privilege of naming all the local committees of the party. It should have the right to appoint the effective organs of all local bodies from Geneva to Liege.… That was a pretty good start, right? I honestly disagreed with Lenin’s views on centralism and said that it was prone to a communist dictatorship. So as of now, my relations with Lenin are quite uncomfortable… I have to admit. I have done some pretty crazy things in the past years. I remember having a terrible view of war in Germany, so I roused a general strike against German militarism/imperialism. In 1907, I went to the Russian Social Democrats’ Fifth Party Day, and guess who I met….. V.I. LENIN. The single most infuriating man ever. Readers, I hope you can empathize with my hatred and pain.

     But all that was the past, it is 1914 now, and recently, there have been nationalistic cries in the Balkans which erupted in war. Now this, the SPD supported and they all voted in favor to agree to a truce with the Imperial government. But what horror! I hated it! Everything I have fought against! Against revisionism! This theory that I have been fighting against since 1899 had triumphed. Worst. Day. Ever. As a result, I am currently organizing an anti-war demonstration in Frankfurt to object to the military conscription and a refusal to obey orders. Although I believe I am doing this for a good cause, there has been rumors going around that I may get arrested for a year… But no matter. This is a chance I am willing to take in order for my voice to be heard.

     Yes, revisionism may have succeeded, but it’s not over for Rosa Luxemburg. Rosa Luxemburg shall conquer all.

     I have a secret that I reallt want to tell you guys. It's been on my mind for the past few days. I need to tell someone! Are you guys ready? Promise me that you won't tell anyone..PROMISE!! (namely, my husband).. okay guys, I just gave out a huge clue, so if you're smart enough.. you'll conclude that there's something going on that my husband does not know.. ;)

     Do you guys remember my principle organizer of my SDKPL? Leo Jogiches....? Well.. I think I'm in love with him, and I'm pretty sure he's in love with me too. Actually, YES. I AM IN LOVE WITH HIM! As of now, he is my "domestic partner", and I'd really appreciate it if you guys didn't tell my husband...
